Thanks and thanks Rizio!

Looks like aluminum to me...so probably not past '63.  One last thing...still could be if the +PAT stamp looks like the one on the right.  More like the left one (hard to read or see, I know) it would be before '63 assuming some iteration of this particular stamp tooling cycle.

Day 11, not so healthy today.

Always liked the Space Shuttle tool set and background. Well, adding it to the list. This challenge may just awaken a serious collector's spirit in me, bit of a scary thought.

Post a nice, clear shot of +PAT...best you can do.  If it looks like it could be just before my Swiss Air copy, it could be as late as '64/'65...maybe.

Day 11

Following yesterday's Adventurer, today it's its "less safe" sibling, the Traveler. Used it to open some small packages.

Perfect Rizio...and thanks for all the follow up!

I'm thinking high probability on '64 but anywhere from '63 to '65 is possible. Is your main blade tang polished/shiny or milled/rough?  Shiny would make me think it could be more '64-'65 and produced just before mine.

Main blade tang is shiny, so 1964/65 then.  I’ll go for 65, as it’s my birth year! :D Many thanks for your help with the dating - I did find some of the SAK wiki info hard to interpret!

Glad to help!  I've found surprising things in advertising knives...and yours was another.    Thanks for providing the subject to study!

Nice birth year SAK!

November 9 & 10 - used the Yeoman to open some mail on Saturday, Sunday I used the Yeoman's combo tool  to remove a broken vent plug from a gas can.  Hopefully some more work for the Yeoman later today.

Day 11

Altimeter Plus, basically is a Huntsman with really cool tech scales on top of it.  Since this is a collection piece, I usually just kept the battery out of the SAK in case of leak.  But I do think this matte translucent scale is cool, and probably more durable than the regular tranlucent scales

I think the translucent scales are the best looking ones!  :tu:

Rapidray - nice knife and even nicer as it’s your birth year knife! :like:

Day 11

Hiked out to the local gun shop (5miles away) with my Master craftsman/astronaut in my pocket to get some more targets (I missed a rat on Sunday despite having the crosshairs spot on - turned out the sights did need adjustment!), so used it on the scope to make adjustments, and then the postie called with a new squirrel feeder, so used the scissors to remove the tag:

Squirrels, and all birds are welcome diners, but not rats......
Nice Master... :like:
And yes, it is my birth year SAK. I never thought I would ever get it, and when I finally found one on eBay...it is a mint one!
