Day 8 - this knife was my Grandpa's. I remember the Christmas when we gave it to him, probably around 1970. After he passed away, Grandma said that I ought to have it. Well, you know tradition! Grandpa knife cut, dad knife cut, I knife cut. We did and still do use disinfectant and in the dry country, I don't know that we've ever had an infection from castration.

I did not take into consideration the dryness for your area. Yes, hot and humid most days in SW Michigan and the cattle always wondered about marsh/swamp areas along sides of the creek from the spring feed pond.Had to wash down the cows before milking, making a muddy mess at edge of the approach apron.
