I only have three, yet newer models.  It is my impression that more knives of the newer vintage are made with Surgical Steel as described or with Stainless Steel.

Older models had higher carbon types steels to be easier to maintain sharpness.  Just MHOp.

This is a Case 6265 Folding Hunter with black canvas micarta handles.

It's a rather large slippy with a clip point and a trailing point [skinning] blade and a 5.25" OAL.

I've got one of those, and it is a sweet knife.  The combo of the black canvas micarta and mirror-polished blades looks great!
