Fixed that for you.  ;)

Couldn’t leave it alone considering your namesake.  :D

Thanks, I was wondering about that  :hatsoff:.   Wasn't sure of the time frame and name.  I saw 50's catalog pics calling it the Craftsman (exposed rivet versions), but had assumed the next version in the 60's with the concealed rivets became the Artisan.

Based on the available US catalogs, mid '70s is the likely end date for 84mm Craftsman naming. Could be as early as '73 and as late as '78.

Is that egg and sausage with everything seasoning?
It's a Japanese seasoning I found, mix of chilli powder and sesame, works like a charm!

It doesn’t appear so bad, but this is one worn SAK. And ready for a challenge

Day 1
It may be early morning but the Fieldmaster already has been jsed twice.  My Zippo insert required refilling, used the phillips to ensure empty and the can opener driver to adjust flame.  The main blade was then used to cut some banana bread for snack.

Knowing her dog is pampered, she could use the saw to cut a bully stick in half so she then will have two sticks!

Mine is currently trapped in luggage as prepping for flights.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

My favorite SAK blade! I find the fact that the clip has a lot of belly makes it great for a lot more tasks, as well as ink erasing (which it was originally made for). Unfortunately, finding an SAK in which this blade has not been wrecked, or well, the balance of the SAK, and at a sub $20 each price is a bit hard. I only have three--1950s Ranger, early '70s Standard, and then this Artisan.  Ranger came as the only good knife in a lot of 5 for ten bucks. Standard, about $12 on its own. Artisan, came with a Victorinox Recruit, a Wenger Master, and two quite nice leather sheaths for $35. The leather sheaths fit 91mm and 100mm knives, not the ones they came with.
Here is the photo I promised you last night

I have a yard. And it’s got lots of rose bushes. Which need a lot of pruning. SAK saws are great for pruning at the crown or bud union. I could use the saw every day of this Challenge if I really wanted to.   :dunno:

And I don’t quite understand why the fuss. I’d carry a Master Craftsman on any given day. Similar toolset and just missing the Metal Saw. Sure, I like having it, but losing it isn’t a huge deal breaker for me...even if it’s preferred over the wood saw.

Day 1

Started some small renovation projects around the house. The doorframe to our backyard is really scratched up, so I am gonna fix that. The door also needs some adjustments, as it only locks when you push it shut. This happens every Winter, so I will adjust the lock and the lock plate.
Used the Philips to adjust the locks and the scissors to cut new sealing strips so they fit into the frame.
