Day 1

Started some small renovation projects around the house. The doorframe to our backyard is really scratched up, so I am gonna fix that. The door also needs some adjustments, as it only locks when you push it shut. This happens every Winter, so I will adjust the lock and the lock plate.
Used the Philips to adjust the locks and the scissors to cut new sealing strips so they fit into the frame.

Nice usage!

I'm fresh from the Buck 112 challenge. As much as I liked that challenge, man, oh man, is it nice to have a proper SAK back in my pocket!   :ahhh

Still Day 1

Was cleaning the car, as the temperature was really nice today. Used the scissors to remove the old car smelly, and the screwdriver/caplifter to clean some crevasses.

I dropped the Fieldmaster in the process, and it fell on concrete, so it received its first scars (aka badge of honor)  :salute:

Day 1 - Arrived at resort in Cancun about 1430.

Unpacked and found FieldMaster with other kit items.

Used scissors to trim ID insert for my daypack, also noticed when snapping the picture, the Tilly acquired from Aloha still as a plastic loop from a tag or such.

Also, the hook pulled open a pull tap on complimentary beer.

So vacation time to in full swing, maybe after a nap!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Some really nice uses and pictures to kick this challenge.  I love seeing how the same toolset is used differently by members based on lifestyle and environment

Nice! But the question remains: what will you use the saw for today...?  ;)

It probably won’t get used today, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good tool and won’t be used at some time during this challenge.

Knowing her dog is pampered, she could use the saw to cut a bully stick in half so she then will have two sticks!

:rofl:  This really had me laughing because the thought had actually crossed my mind when the forecast was calling for rain all day, but it ended up being a nice day so he got an extra long walk.

Also, the last time I used a MT saw, last week, was to cut a stick to make it better sized for fetch.

That’s the truth! That is one happy dog!

He deserves it because he is so loving.

Day 2: used the clip point pen blade to open my probiotic.

Still figuring out the Turnbox. I find it does great with knives that have proper grinds and are just a bit dull, but blunt mess like on the Fieldmaster, uh, no. Same goes for the Case Trapper in the photo.  I also learned somehow, over the years, I bent the main blade tip. Dunno how that happened. I know the pen blade got bent when it was dropped on a concrete shop floor.

Here is the photo I promised you last night

Very nice!  :like: That is what, an early 70s Ranger or similar?  My Standard still has the scraper on the bottle opener, and is about the same age. I knew there was quite a mix of parts of that era, but does your knife have the scraper ground inside the bottle opener arc?

I hardly change scales for my SAK, and like you, I'd like to consider those initiation process as being part of the EDC and it's just another form of patina.  :D
