Got a couple used SAKs on the way
on: January 12, 2020, 09:07:31 PM
I ordered a used alox classic SD to replace my very worn wenger esquire that is on my keys, and a ruby spartan with both a straight pin and micro driver to try to replace my tinker(good luck spartan, I love my tinker lol). I spent a bit less than $32 shipped for the pair, not to bad I think.

I like to have the micro driver since I wear glasses. I bought one for my climber II but I prefer to edc a two layer 91mm. I also carry a single aaa light and a locking folder so it starts to get crowded in my pockets. On days when I don't carry a locking folder I carry my climber II.

Sounds good. I’ve never bought used, although I’ve inherited a few.

Hope all turns out as you wish it.

Nothing can replace a Tinker - always room for one.

Thank you. I have had pretty good luck with used swiss army knives so far. I have several and only three have been bought new. Will see how it goes though. From the photos they at least looked nice.

I love my tinker, it was my fist victorinox and I have carried and used it a lot. I think the micro driver may be of more use than the 3d Phillips though. The driver on the can opener works pretty good for Phillips already. If not my tinker is not going anywhere, and it won't hurt to have a spartan around.

Already planned on it :D

The alox classic got here 3 days early :D It looks to have been used very little. It's too nice for my keys haha I wonder if it will fit the little classic sd key ring sheath, or will it fit it too loosely ?

Put it on your keys and let the patina do its thing.

It may look weird for a bit, but then it'll be yours, and better yet, a product of your experiences.

Yeah I put it on my keys. I need to do somthing better with my keys though. I think I will pick up one of the little victorinox 4 way screw drivers to replace my old general tool one. That will get rid of some bulk.I wish my safe key was shorter.

I got the spartan a day early. It looks like it was in a drawer or maybe a pocket for a while but largely unused. I can not see much wear on the tools other than a couple scratches from opening them.
