Soooo... I was testing the cutters of the new to me Mr.Pinchy today. Sure enough I know where it got its nickname from, so I've tried not to hold it to close to my palm but more to the lower end of the handles.

Your right.  My mistake.  I knew the blade was removable and it was designed for children, but his history with saws could make it dangerous.
