They made a change to the scissors Backspring I noticed a few months ago that I bet was to make it easier to do thicker models.
What was the change to the backspring?  It can't be any skinnier than the scissors themselves.

They made the hole on the spring rest end 4mm instead of 3mm.  Cheap fix to make spring not so tight.   If they left it like ver 1 it woudl have caused alot of bent rivets when they assembled 4 layer.

It's not from the official site but from a German reseller (taking pre-orders). I can post a link if it's not against the rules... 25th May is the release date announced by Vic

Thanks Nele

No problems posting links to sites to which members have no affiliation.
- It is just promoting your own (for profit) site / services etc where we need to make special arrangements

It's great to share info on good deals, great sites etc with MTo colleagues
- In fact we even have a board especially for this!!

PS. I'll update the Wiki too

Oh, that link was posted in another thread already, but go ahead, as others might not have seen it yet.  :tu:

I was kind of hoping we are so far in the proces that victorinox themselves said something...   :(

Good point

Although I am wondering if things do not get put on the Vic website model list until they are actually released

I think that was true for the annual Alox and Classic series - ie We all knew the designs - But they did not appear as a listed model until they were available.

You're right, they don't list upcoming models on their site until those are actually released. And I don't think they take pre-orders either...

Hey I never really liked the 'Swiss Army N' nomenclature - Much prefer the descriptive names

However - I am I the last  :o (or the first  :D ) to realise that the N represents the number of functions of that model .... Check it out !
