Women are doing my head in at the moment  >:(
Next time they go out change the locks.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Just a heads up; lidl has a sale on tools this week.

I got this 1/4” air ratchet for 30% off = I paid €15 euros for it.

They have all their drills, saws etc. on sale as well.

No product placement or sponsored promotion, just a heads up

I still haven’t had a chance to use my other 1/2” air ratchet yet.

Unless I am under the hood, I actually find myself grabbing the 1/4” sockets the most

So hopefully this one will see more usage

I don’t think I even own any 3/4” sockets or a 3/4” ratchet

I just don’t get the point of them

I have the 3/4” to 1/4” & 3/4” to 1/2” and visa-versa adaptors in case I get any

I have 1/4” 3/8” and 1/2” ratchets and sockets
I have nothing that needs 3/4” that’s more useful if you have a lorry

Just from what I have seen...

1/4” sockets “usually” covers 6mm up to 12mm

And 1/2” sockets goes from 10mm up to 32mm (ish)

Both maybe plus / minus 1 or 2 sizes.

And (at least for what’s available here in Denmark) most 3/4” sockets sets goes from 11mm to 17mm

So that’s what I mean; what’s the point of the 3/4” sockets? ...especially when one already owns 1/4” and 1/2” socket sets.

Maybe I am just over thinking it and making things more complicated for myself.

Just looking around on eBay / Amazon, looks like the larger 3/8” socket sets goes from 6mm all the way up to 22mm

I’d say that makes more sense, as those fall within the range of the more commonly used sockets

Still I haven’t been in a situation where my 1/4” or 1/2” couldn’t get the job done

I have a 1/4” ratchet & socket set from Bacho that I bought for my first car when I was like 19 years old, and it has served as my “truck tool set” ever since.

It’s been perfect for most road side repairs, and it’s the set I grab first thing for small repairs that doesn’t require me to get my big tool cart out.

I always keep it in my trunk together with a few other things like, tire inflator pump, tire patch kit, Jack, spare fuses, highlighted vest etc.

I use 1/4” sockets for most jobs and 1/2” for larger nuts and bolts
But sometimes I use 3/8” for when 1/2” is too big and space is tight :tu:

Same here, gets the job done

But sometimes I use 3/8” for when 1/2” is too big and space is tight :tu:

That’s where I am hoping that these air ratchets will come in handy.

Places where there isn’t really enough room to “ratchet” from side to side, just break the bolt loose using either a breaker bar or a regular ratchet, and then just stick the air ratchet in where there isn’t room to “ratchet” and let it do its thing.

Don’t know if I’m making any sense here?

Like what this gentleman is explaining @ 07:40 in some proper her majesty’s Brexit English here:

I know the review covers an electric ratchet and not an air ratchet, but same principles applies.

I mean; in theory it sounds good.

But let’s see how they work in the real world.

I have experienced before where several youtubers recommend a product and / or make it look amazing in their videos, fooling me into getting one for myself.....and then when the time comes for me to use it....I just hate it.....well either that or I just don’t see any benefit to it.

But like with pretty much everything, it’s going to be different from person to person what they like and and what they prefer.

It’s all about trying out different things and finding what works best for you.
