Just found this thread.

Can someone tell me why people think Guy Boucher is a good coach? Hey, here's 12 fast forwards and the best offensive defenseman in the league. We're going to take that and play a trap!

That game last night (Hawks/Sens) was incredibly boring.

Playoffs start Wednesday! :ahhh they will post the schedule tonight after the last regular season games and positioning is figured out :tu:

Excited for the playoffs. Hockey had been boring for me lately, most of the hawks games have been "don't get hurt". Basically didn't give a duck the last ten games or so.

On the other hand, I did go to all the frozen four games. That was awesome.

Sens and Leafs both with wins last night. First Leafs game of the year that I watched last night and I was impressed. Matthews and Kapanen were good. Good hustle and no dumb penalties, good stuff for young players.

I read a bit of the Leafs forum on Reddit this morning. A bunch of Leafs fans have some funny "routines" that they now must keep going. One guy was folding laundry during both winning goals, I think another guy was changing the babies diaper. Funny stuff, but I wouldn't chance changing it. Best to have a load of laundry on the go and a baby...

I sure hope that I’m wrong, but…

I think that the Blackhawks Cup Window is now closed. Their core ain’t what it used to be. Other than Kane (and Panarin, though he’s a new addition to “the core”), the elite isn’t there anymore. Keith is too slow now; he doesn’t have the jump. He’s too old. Same with Hjammer and Seabrook, and Hjammer will have a steep and fast decline if he’s anything like the other defenseman who’ve played like he does. Toews is too slow; he’s been manhandled by Johansen. Hossa is too old and slow, he’s done as an elite player.

They’ll continue to be a good team for a good while longer, but no longer a real threat.

Here’s hoping that they can pull off four straight, and I’m glad I’ve been here watching the 3 cups that they have (and the years of malaise that I had to live through in my youth of the Bill Wirtz greed era).

I have to agree, the Blackhawks Elite/Gold Standard reign is over and they are at best a contender 2nd rate. 2 years in a roll now they just don't have the drive or the will to go to the next level (the "Switch") as other teams now have. It was a cool run and few have seen their team win 3 Cups, I'm proud and glad for that. Kings only got 2 Cups before their demise  :P :pok:

Time for some new blood at the top, could be this year! I'll be watching because I love the game :salute: :cheers:
