I have been on the line now for a half hour
But no one is picking up the call ???
I am seriously thinking of building my own submarine
One that works properly from the start
And at least can go under
water and come back up again  :pok:

All the brochures say that. Are you sure those aren't outhouse toilets? They are quite inconvenient on submarines I've heard.

The kung fu rascals haven't got the stamina to live on a submarine Wim. They couldn't even cope when Mr Lallies chip shop ran out of vinegar. Remember they were all crying into their chips? That's what it will be like.

Having tried Russian toilets I can confirm that they do work in general. That said, those around here who used Russian submarine toilets are all dead as far as we know.

Either way a working toilet seems like a good idea. I don't mean to be close minded, and I'm sure free flowing sewage has many merits, but it somehow just doesn't appeal much to me.

My mistake. I thought it was there to keep guest away and or drive them insane. (I might have mixed it up with the call system of my insurance company though).

Don't replace the steel with tin foil. It'll cost more in the long run.
The last batch of torpedoes were made from that and we ended up using them as newyear firework spinners.

Also, we knew you stay in tube 4, which is why we used it as a waste tube to begin with

Fortunately, Bill and Inga remain blissfully oblivious to the unter-sea acrimony and rivalry going on here. I wouldn't want them to worry.

Safely on terra firma, I started prepping ingredients for my UBOAT pie (Ultimate British, Offal-free, Adventurous Tasting Pie) to help celebrate British Pie week.

Well!

You should have seen how excited Bill was.  :ahhh  I thought he might be having a fit!

Inga explained that Bill has not had a propper pie since he was kicked out of his grammar school.

In the blink of an eye, Bill had grabbed his fixie and some eye-pro and started hacking away at the veggies. Nice of him, but a wee bit scary to watch...... Inga seems to have better kitchen skills.

It is a little soon for me to tell.

I asked him about an ear-ache I had, and he seemed to advise a 'wait and watch' approach. Fair enough.  :dunno:

Later I asked how to prevent corona virus and he said, "let's have some salty porridge."  I don't know if this is current medical advice or some sort of "Ship's Wisdom."

Well, he is a plastic surgeon so probably much better at cutting plastic.

He might have gone to the same medical school as my doctor? Once I had a rash and she took a long hard look at it. Then she looked in several reference databases before most definitely concluding: "I don't know". Based on that diagnosis I got two prescribtions for some ointments: I was instructed to use one of them first. If it got much worse rather than better then I should try using the other one instead. I should discover that very quickly and beyond any doubt, so that was comforting at least.
