Thank you, it is easy to get carried away with the Slim Selects when there are several colors and price as economical for good quality.

I am WEAK, very weak…🫣

And, did it hurt?  Yes it did. Forgot about it being the 3rd week

Saw a review of a Case Panama Trapper (a Tony Bose design), that I really did not know existed. And order yesterday after I was told difficult to find.

So, yes I did cave and ordered a GREEN BOTM!!!

Only one , just one, 1.  Not two…

It is better to hunt for GECs can find when released, to expensive after a while, so funds stay safe. 🤪

If its any consolation to you LC it hurt me too. I've spent way to much recently on knives and still have a GEC Coon Skinner to pay for. I wasnt planning on getting this BOTM knife when it popped up on the radar this afternoon. But had just enough funds to make it happen.    :ahhh      :D

Life is cruel :iagree:

I wasn’t going to get the Panama Trapper, then blew up the view of the backside of skinning blade and model number starts with TB, no descriptions says Tony Bose!!!
First knife I wasn’t going to get, but got🤪

Then, just about the time I am heading to son’s house the BOTM drops, 15 minutes to follow the link to see the model selected to be exploited, already earlier in the week had told myself no BOTM regardless.
Darn, they nodded a 301 Stockman just like last year, two blades, long nail notch, flat grind and even S30V steel a step up of last 301.
But,,, it is green???? My least favorite color, well  I am busy, maybe they will sell out before I talk myself into it!   Then took grandson to dinner, then hustle him off to band practice, then to Menards to return an item and quick walk through checking paracord colors, some beverages in grocery area, some Gorrilla glue, to check out, checking knives and other gadgets.  A wife asks husband, “you are not looking at knives? @  Husband,” No, Buck of the Month just drop!” &#%% both say just loud enough for other to hear😜

Got home unloaded car, checked mail, and off to wait for practice to finish.  Took another look, still available…  I blanked out, next thing I know, email alert, “We are processing your order”
The smartphone is possessed 🙄

Knife number two I WAS NOT going to get!

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I like the color on Nate’s better!😜

I have previously have found Buck’s slip joints back springs to be very constant across awl models. No nail breakers, to open and a modest snap when closing.

Mine, did not receive a shipping label to later Friday evening.  Would not be surprised if it just arrived in Spokane this evening.
Checking ???

Per USPS tracking, my package is still in Post Falls, and at Buck as USPS has not received  :dunno:

I suspect they are the same color or very nearly so, and it’s only different lighting that makes them look different.  Only 500 made, so probably all from the same batch of micarta.  Hopefully you’ll have yours in hand before long.

None of my 301s has particularly strong snap.

Nice knife but this one has weak opening snap on the master blade.

I'm curious to discover what may be responsible for the weak snap.

Otherwise a nice knife,David.

I discovered some polishing residue left in mine, and it was noticeably snappier after a thorough cleaning.  @David might be worth checking yours for this issue if you haven’t already/

Cleaned it shortly after I got it. It got a little better after cleaning. The main culprit seems to be the the cam over is more rounded than a peak. The more rounded that cam over is the weaker the snap will be. I've noticed this on many old knives that are worn from use.  Where weak snap is evident opening or closing. I might try to get a pic if I can later if I dont forget.

My recently arrived Stockman BOTM is pretty good with exception of sheepfoot blade is soft on full open yet good snap on closing.

Here are pictures posing with the previous 301 BOTM -

Very nice color assortment. I just got my OD Buck 112 Slim from that Midway deal and I'm very happy with it. It'll pull its first EDC rotation today.

A Buck Public Service Announcement-

Buck is now offering a second Scale Wood option on the off shore series slip joints.

I could not resist as currently on sale as well. I selected a Canoe, then a 373 Trio and then a 371 Stockman as free shipping above $75, plus a sheath for a Vangaurd.

I was vacillating about this purchase but this is the last month with the 50TH anniversary stamp and the only 112 with the 50TH medallion made of pewter.

You just can't have too many 112's. LOL

SOLD OUT.
