I won't lie... I went back and forth on it many times over....

I'm buying a house, I don't need it.... it works out cheaper than buying them individually.... I'm spending too much money already to go to SHOT.... I already have most of those models...

Back and forth and back and forth... but then I finally said screw it and I'm glad I got it at the price I did!

Congrats, I'm glad someone here got this rare item...that means we can get some close up pics when you eventually get it! :D

It would make sense that it opens up...if it was a store display, don't you think the guy behind the counter would like to eventually sell those knives if they ever became discontinued and were no longer available for order?  And how did they get in there to begin with?  Maybe unscrewing a few screws makes a panel removable...

I'll be buying a new house soon and I guarantee that I'll find a nice place to display it!  The wife may have different ideas, but I'll find some way of displaying it along with other pieces of my collection.

I'm hoping there will be a screw or something that allows it to be opened, but it's entirely possible that its a press fit kind of thing and opening it might break some of the small plastic tabs that hold it together.  108mm knives were discontinued so long ago that I'd imagine they've been sealed in there for some time, and that even if I could take them out, I wouldn't have much faith in the backsprings.

I will of course also take many photos when it arrives... :D
