Victorinox Sentinel Wood Scales
on: August 14, 2020, 01:25:27 AM
Giving it a go making some wood scales for my Sentinel. Never done it before, so hopefully it’s not a complete failure.
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

Well, it didn’t turn out quite as perfect as I had hoped, but I’m happy with it.

Now I just need to decide how to finish it. I’m thinking just an oil, but not sure which one

Well, the finish choice problem solved itself since all I had was linseed oil.

Really brings out the grain

Just carry the knife for awhile. The natural oil from your skinn will give it a great look. I have a cheap folder, with olive wood scales and it aged wonderfully.
