Today, while topic is Rough Ryder, I selected these two, made before the Y entered the branding😉

The nail nick is one thing that I not too much a fan of and I dont know why?  It looks like and eye with long eye lash  :dunno:
:iagree: Rough Ryder calls it a match strike pull, and it may well be. I just think match strikes work better on long pulls.

I'd prefer it a simple nail nick or long simple pull.  The eyelash not so much.  That aside they do have some appealing patterns.  I have a Electrician somewhere from them.  Its a good knife.  FnF is very good.

A marketing ploy, to set them apart.

When setting smudge pots in middle of the night and early mornings, used the side of fixed blade I was assigned. The box storing matches would get damp, so would load up a pocket full of stick matches, knife and crate of filled pots on the hand cart.

Today I paired my pocket carry to compliment each other, a Clip point 055 and a Spear point Canoe 389.

I like those.  I'll snap a pic when I figure out what I'm carrying today.

I got these inexpensive slips to try out when I began to carry trads daily.  I love my squirt so that was a no brainer to go into the slip.  This particular set includes my Copperlock and 4/7 AAA light.  I also really enjoy my little trads so a Peanut was added.

Black Friday is still today,  but the sales started a while ago.
Staying safe at home so far today.

Cleaned up a newly arrived Buck Canoe, stained reddish and just  filthy,  yet like new sharp.  I suspect it was part of a Holiday tin set Buck prepared for Walmart in 2016, as I recalled several different colors that season including red, blue, black, stag and maybe brown wood.

Picture posing with my selected EDC, a Tribal and Hammer/Nail Canoe and Vagabond.

A blue canoe should arrive next week. 😜

A RR work knife will be partnered up to my SAK Vagabond today when I get around to leaving the homestead and locate that SAK as I am pretty sure it is in my Jean pocket that is now in the laundry hamper

One pairing that always makes sense for me is Manager with any Trad.  Two trads and a Manager makes even more sense  ;)
