I carry a Rebar and a Crunch everywhere, they've both been modded for UK EDC by having the knife blades removed (I carry a Higonokami folder for cutting duties).
On the Rebar I made two band anchor "blades" and put them where the original blades came from. They're 2.5mm stainless and they open close and lock just like the originals.
It does require a hybrid "gypsy" bandset, where the bands are lashed to 2mm cord, which loops through the holes and over the tabs to secure - the bands can be fitted and removed in seconds.
The Crunch is used to grip the Rebar and act as a handle.
The arms of the Rebar can still fold when assembled for easier carrying when out on a mooch.
A nice feature is that the distance between the tips of the Rebar arms can be changed by 20mm or so, the wider the arms the lower the impact point - it gives easy adjustment for shooting at different ranges.
All I need to carry is the bandset and some balls (I don't like shooting pebbles) and I have a weapon capable of taking small game out to 20 yds or so.
Apologies for the chewed up screws on the Rebar, I bought it on holiday 2 years ago and wanted to carry it when I was there so I bought a rotary tool from the same store so I could slot the screws and remove the blades. I now have a set of Loki's excellent wrenches.
