I love that some effort has gone into all the colour/design names, until you get to "Minty Mint".

Looks as if Victorinox tries to re-positon the Classic as a fashion accessoire. I can understand why they are doing it - they must try to remain relevant in a digital age where the smartphone is the new SAK. I just hope this will not have a negative effect on price and quality and that old-timers like us will still get served old-fashioned quality SAKs at reasonable prices.

Please don't introduce all those colours in 91mm or I'll be broke.

So, does this mean the existing Classic colors are done for? I know recently, some of the translucent Classic SDs were retired.

Some of these colors are real throwbacks. Some of these I've only seen on ad knives, such as "Mountain Lake" (pharmaceutical, '90s), "Tuscan Sun", and "Mango Tango" . "Green Tea" and "Fire Opal" were last seen on the Color Twins Spartans packed with a kitchen knife.

If we got a crystal clear Silvertech (which basically what the "Mystical Morning" is) 91mm, I'd be broke.

Nothing really special. I see myself buying a couple here, a couple there (especially the Alox versions). These to me are exactly the things to round out "Free shipping over X amount" orders. Mountain Lake and Wild Jungle first.

Cheers for the heads up, guibur!  :tu: I noticed that their website was full of no pic, no details place holders the other day and had wondered what they were referring to!

Yeah, like you'd buy anything other than orange...

If they sold 91mm replacement scales in those colors, I think I could remain financially solvent.

I got a heads-up from my local agent that they have stock incoming on these "...in a week or two..." so I will be making a trip to check them out in person and maybe pick one or two...or three...  :D They're also getting Champ XXL stock

Thanks for posting.  Some of those colors are very nice and I see how these could prompt someone to pick up several if not all.

Glad they made a few Alox models, too. The single colour, once-a-year issue was lacking diversity.

I think if we still have Alox LE next year, we can say bye bye to the Classic...
So what model will replace it?
And will we still have Hunter Pro and PX?
Or will they stop Alox LE!? It seems to be their new hobby stopping limited editions  :dunno:

I was looking at the Victorinox website and the 74mm Executive seems to be missing. Was it discontinued? If so, what a shame!
Cheers!

The disappearance of the normal Cadet (at least in pretty colours) is the most irritating for me. It's the only "proper" SAK you can carry comfortably in a wallet (Bantam is even better!) My 2018 Berry Red lives permanently in a slim edc pouch alongside an AAA flashlight and a Kaweco Liliput pen. A Pioneer will fit as well, but is considerably chunkier, while the Pioneer X won't fit at all, thanks to the extra layer. A Cadet X would be fun to see, but anyone with a Classic lurking in their bunch of keys isn't desperate for another pair of scissors. I'd prefer to see the normal Cadet continued with different funky alox colours every now and then.

:iagree: I’m disappointed about the cadet too T, also keep a bantam in my wallet :like:

I managed to get through to our local Victorinox agency today...picked up a couple of the new series. Pic's to follow, but in the meantime, here's the drool display
