Leatherman squirt tools not closing properly (weak closing)

My PS4's scissors and philips aren't closing properly. The springs appear to be without adequate tension.
Any tips or guidance on how I could improve the tension of these springs?

Welcome.  I have a couple "lazy" Squirts myself.  In particular the scissors but also the phillips as you say.  I'm not entirely sure its the spring?  I tend to have to move the scissor arm out the line of travel then push the scissor to completely close.  Its never snapped closed like other tools ( knife and file ). 

Maybe someone has resolved this on their Squirt  :think:.

The warranty is pretty good. Another option. Just read the instructions carefully, if the tool has a personal value to you they may just replace the tool.

I think this is pretty much the norm with the Squirt.  As long as it’s not opening on its own once pushed closed, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Exactly what is happening to mine. If I push the scissors it closes yes, but without the snap. I am grateful for your feedback.

Sadly the scissor spring also is reported to spontaneously break  :facepalm:.  Its just what I call lazy closer.  I am so used to SAKs snapping like bear traps that anything that doesn't is faulty.  I give the little extra push to seat my scissor as well as my drivers.  A bit lame but glad once they are closed and seated they stay that way. 

I wish you many years with your Squirt and IF anything goes wrong you have LM warranty as Oldboy mentions to take care of you.

Well, the tools remain closed and are not spontaneously opening. The "problem" with the guarantee is that I am from Brazil and here there is only a guarantee if there is a purchase comprovation (fiscal note). In my case, it was gift and I don't have the note.

I hope that de squirt works properly, even without the snap that we love to hear! Thanks all of you!!
