Rancher X

Dear knights,

Schweizermesser shop currently offers a red Rancher X. I didn't find anything about a Rancher X on Sakwiki, so I wonder if this is going to be a regular Victorinox model or if this is a special shop edition?

In any event, a nice proposition imho. You sacrifice the Pioneer X's small screwdriver (and can opener for those who need it) for a pruner blade. A good swap for those willing to sacrifice some versatility for additional cutting capabilities.

Just a guess, but the page depicts the Rancher X with the Schweizermesser logo on the reverse scale.
Based on that, I'd guess it's an edition specific to their shop, kinda like how Heinnie Haynes has their versions of certain fixed and folding knives (The Heinnie edition CRKT Pilar is lovely, by the way).

The group-knife of the Facebook-Community „Victorinox-Freunde“ was a Green Rancher X too. I think it’s not a regular Modell, but available for special Runs.

Rancher X just arrived!

On account of the pruner blade's curved back, the scissors' nail nick is even harder to grab than in the case of the Pioneer X. But that's a minor quibble. All in all this is a very nice SAK which is likely to replace the Pioneer X as my alox SAK of choice.
