I would be interested to know how many Mr. Crunches end up in the hands of MTO members.  If you bought 2x of them, you own 0.4% of all Mr. Crunches.

UPS tracking says mine should be here tomorrow. I guess I’m weird. I didn’t feel right buying two when I knew so many folks wanted one. In a way I wish Leatherman had limited them to one per customer but I do think international customers should then have been allowed to order them.

I'll take $700 in 2 months.

Looks like we're both WAY off - the "buy it now" listings are from $1050 to $1300.   :o

Leatherman have never been quick to ship. One of my two now shows completed and the other still open. I expect that the other will show complete soon and then shipping notice probably late today or tomorrow.

Me neither.  No worries.  They know how to ship things.  Last week it was two days between my order of a Leatherman Tool Pouch and its shipment.  And that was prior to all of the Mr. Crunch excitement, which may have slowed things down just a little.

Excellent unboxing video. The pliers concept needs work but is impressive.

I like the thickness of the implements on the "chisel" side.  The other side implements reminds me of Wingman/Sidekick for some reason  :dunno:.   The plier is interesting.  Neat thats for sure.

Too bad the needlenose pliers don't have any teeth, and the shape of them could be better.  But the retractable pliers will find their way onto a regular issue tool I believe.  It's a neat design.

It is interesting on eBay - looks like a couple might have sold but there are fewer auctions now than earlier and not sure exactly what price points won or were accepted in the buy-it now counter-offer scenario.

It's just the MTo way (although to be considered a fully paid up MTo member you probably should have ordered at least two "one is none" and all that)

One thing I noticed was the thick over-nosed pliers stay near uniform/parallel when the pliers are widened or closing down in on. This mimics a crescent wrench in effect, and is probably why there are no teeth there. Clever idea, since that tool portion tool is wider. I bet it was meant as a pliers-based adjustable wrench for small pipe fittings, maybe even small plumbing tasks. Was was not seen was how far the over-nose jaws open however...

While the effect of an oddly designed adjustable wrench-effect is in play here, that would make it harder to hold on wider applications as there is no way to lock the handles in place without a wide rubber band of sorts. There is no fixed wheel or ratchet system employed there.

Clever in that observation, and only explained the chunkier look. As for the wire cutters, I agree they stick into the pliers' real estate for the pliers to be used to grasp things. And did noticed that Leatherman put in a push can opener, something I wished they would of added to the smaller series. If they had of, I would of probably bought one. A bottle opener is so meh anymore as not many bottles use tabs that do not unscrew. And a push can opener leaves no metal splinters behind.
Their chisel though, and I can understand they do not want to trespass on Victorinox' thinner chisel, the thicker metal I'm not overly sure is needed. And the small tool implements for my standpoint are also meh. They look too cheesy.

Glad I did not buy one, although I would of liked to try their beefy over-nose pliers out on bicycle maintenance & repairs for the sheeps and giggles factor. Past that I do not see it has any majorly function difference than what I already have.

  Enjoy your shelf queens!  :D

I have a feeling that the chisel is one of the few actual "Garage" implements being beta tested for feedback.  Perhaps a rough introduction to something a little different in the future.
