I took some screenshots of the video so I could see it better and noticed a few things. First, if that’s the same blade that is on the ARC it’s nice, and I mean really freaking nice. Also, these bit drivers are longer than the ones found on the current tools.

It says 5th July for the Garage 5 release.

The Arc could be any time after.

That'd be nice.

Being a multitool enthusiast and having collected more than 4 dozens LM MT, I really do hope I get a chance to celebrate this occasion by having a fair chance to buy a 40th anniversary tool.  It will be really disheartening if I have to play the 'GEC' game just to get one, and felt totally left out of the loop with a company I have supported for the past 30+ years.

I haven't been that interested in the Garage offerings.   The 40th Anniversary, OTOH, is SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, LEATHERMAN!  :nanadance:

I’ll definitely try to get it although I’d rather they just go ahead and put out the Arc.

I was tempted by Mr Crunch and now this one.  We will see where my interest is as we near the drop.  Its pretty neat thats for sure and its 40th Anniversary.  Be nice if they offered a large quantity of these to the public.

I really like this one, but IMO it is not as unique/special as Mr Crunch. I believe and hope that the Arc will be very similar to this, if Rich's intel checks out. I would love to see something like this in stores over here as well ::)

I bought Garage #1 and #2 (two each I think ), and skipped #3 and #4 just because they didn't make my leg tingle.  But I'll be back in for #5 assuming I'm quick enough.  Working at home on a laptop does make it easier to see and respond to these things.  I feel for you lads who have real jobs and can't drop everything to buy a new toy.

Yeah that will be fun.  I would rather the Arc lose the Free technology (magnets) and micro driver, and have a long shank phillips, but Timmy stopped asking me what I want a long time ago.

I'll even go further and say that the Free P4 would be Leatherman's best multitool if it didn't have such a crappy selection of handle tools (4 flatheads, a ridiculously small file, and a blunt-tip awl)

:iagree: I really like the Free platform, such a great potential with everything being one hand operable

I hope you are right, buddy. This is a tool set I want to use. But I don't want to buy a collector's item and use it. I would rather buy a MT that is regular stock and use it, something that is replaceable. Even if the blade is 440c instead of Magnacut.

Someone took an interesting screenshot over at the Leatherman Tool User FB group.  This tool seems to have the two piece pivot on the pliers that come apart like on the DarkSide.

What's the name of the group?  I did a search and couldn't find it.  :ahhh

I did find a lot of private groups.  I wonder why there are so many private Leatherman groups
