I’d love to see remakes of some of the classic tools in the way the Bond is an updated PST.

A new MiniTool? Yes please!

Full production Supertool-sized tool with Mr Crunch jaws? Go on then.

Next generation Crunch with metal saw, scissors, and slightly wider jaws? Take my money!

Someone over at a LM FB group is saying that he spoke to LM about his order Friday night. Accordingly to him, the woman told him that due to the site freezing, that they sold a lot more than 1,983 tools and that they are randomly picking who gets one.  Another poster said that they had over 20,000 IP’s trying to connect.  I wonder at what point LM addresses this?  I mean, how much can any company screw their most loyal customers?

That is crazy, especially in this day and age.

There has got to be a better way to do this.  With MR Crunch I had one in cart and when I went to pay it was gone.  Not terribly upset but that shouldn't happen.

They knew their site would blow up so this is unacceptable.

Hmmm... count me skeptical, but I still wouldn't be surprised.

I’ve had this weird feeling since I got mine that it’s going to somehow get cancelled. I only really wanted the Mr Crunch, but I keep getting them because I have them all. Once I can’t secure one I’m out. No hard feelings. I’m just beginning to feel like a slave to the game. Like an addict that needs the next fix that will never be as good as the first. That isn’t freedom, nor does it ever lead to happiness.

I felt the same way the last couple of Garage purchases.  People were getting theirs when mine hadn't even shipped yet.  :ahhh  I stressed out a little, but I just trusted in the process and mine finally arrived.  I'm like you - I mainly wanted this one because I have the other 4.  It's too much like the Arc to want by its own merits.  I suppose if mine gets cancelled, that would be a little liberating on future Garage releases.

It would be interesting if they canceled some of the orders from the auction site people that have them listed...

I have heard that they have done this before :salute:

Would be the best way to get flippers to at least slow down until they have them in hand

I only have went with the plier based ones so I skipped out on 3 and 4  I do wished I had went ahead and got all of them but I am still at peace with not having them

This doesn't sound right, and what I don't understand is why on earth won't they make 20,000 instead of 1983, if the demand is really that high?!

This could probably alleviate the flipper problem, at the same time making 20 times the money, while giving their loyal fans a chance to get something they would want.

Fortunately I knew I wouldn't be able get in the scrum for this one.  I am getting tired of the months-ahead teaser hype, to the point that I'm not sure I'll even consider an Arc.  I thought about modding the tool I really want, but the cost of that would be much more than the latest Garage offering.  That led me to consider how happy I am with the performance of the Leathermans I have.  :D

Yeah the Garage 5, Arc etc. don't do anything that tons of other MTs do, so utility really isn't the point.  The question is whether one loves MTs so much that he or she is willing to drop $200+ (including tax and shipping) for an Arc just to have a new toy.  For me it is yes, though I recognize that it 100% about having a new toy and 0% about utility.  And that being true even though I don't really care for the Free-series magnet design.

I’ll be buying one too. It has all the tools I wanted on the Free. I admit there is nothing wrong with my Charge but I too am any a new toy.

Was wondering why no shipping update. My order is still there, no progress other than 'Open' whatever that means.

Thanks guys! Enjoy Crunchie!

I’ve noticed that the bolts are T-9. No security bits required. Is that usual a Garage product or are Leatherman moving away from security bolts?

They probably think if anyone is daft enough to meddle with a limited edition tool, let them.

I’m not sure I like spring action pliers, but it looks like the Arc will be a great tool for everyday use.

The bit adaptor does seem quite loose. Slightly worried the bit will fall out over time by itself.

Hope the Arc’s bit adaptor is better.

Can’t fault the rest  of it. Really like it.

I’d have preferred non spring pliers myself., but I’m assuming the spring can be taking out if you really wanted to do that.

Those speed holes reduce aerodynamic drag as well.  That's quite an innovation.
