Bond dipped in ferric chloride

Decided to tinker with my bond by adding scissors and swapping out the plain edge blade for a serrated blade from the rebar.

While I had it disassembled I gave it a dipping in a nice fresh warm bath of ferric chloride.

After about half an hour this is the result  :tu:





Added a little multitool oil and fresh thread lock.
Not quite black oxide but close.
