Resurrect one extinct SAK

If you could put one extinct model of Sac back into mass production, which would it be?

The Yeoman. That’s the perfect Urban EDC for me. Only three layers but with the in line Philips and a magnifying glass. The only thing I would change is to replace the hook with an awl.

+1 for the voyageur  :climber:
Very high on my want list

I'm lucky enough to have a Yeoman and also agree that it's a great set up

I would prefer to make a custom one, according to my own needs and liking.
Consider Alox, Big blade and awl, bottle opener/screwdriver and pruner blade, metal saw/files, scissors.
4 layers.
Something like a Mountaineer/Harvester X.
Did they ever make such a winner?

The Vagabond, which is the reasonable Mini champ for me, both in alox and California.

+2 on the ‘Voyageur’…which was actually called a Tourist at some point or the whole time.

Small Climber. And the Vagabond.

Following instructions again, I see. “One extinct model” were the specs. ;)

I would also go with the yeoman. Would love one for the right price :gimme:
So isn't the Voyager the same as the traveler?
They sell the scales on ebay and then just buy a climber, and your all good.

Only one? The Salesman! (Super Tinker Small) With the old Philips and long nail file!

The Voyageur would be great too. (Not the Voyager)
Or the Model No.75, the most elegant 84mm with scissors!
Any 84mm model with scissors would be wonderful!

And of course the Master Craftsman with Alox shells...

And, and...  :ahhh
If you want to be happy, be.

Small Climber.
I'm shocked (a rare occurrence these days) that the Small Climber didn't get more votes.

Poll says otherwise regarding 84mm scissors.

I think the strange thing is I’d expect a rereleased Climber Small to be way cheaper than say the Alox Bantam X…

Another vote  for the Voyageur, but I’d be thrilled to see a return of the Yeoman, as well.

If only one ? the Trailguide so I can get one without the need of killing both a Compact and a Mountaineer each time I want one  :pok:

but I'd love a Voyageur ... only if reintroduced in ribbed OC.

:tu: Modern The Trail Guide would be cool…but when you build them you get to mix and match your favorite era parts. I’ve gotten to prefer the new stainless metal saw and get to add a backside tool chisel or SD. Converted one the other day to a Compact Modeler.

I’m guessing you didn’t snag these last week…

Wenger SGT Shortix Plus, that chromatography tool is unique... or the Giant.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Of course I use modern stainless steel file, with backside chisel: I like the trail guide, but I want it to be useable
And you are right about era mix, I also use "old" main blade with thicker tang

Damnit, I don't want it to happen, I want to still make my owns

I’d love the 100mm soldier with the clip point blade. There is just something in the appearance of that knife that speaks to me.
I think they did some limited edition if the Wenger’s version of it not too long ago but it was out of my price range.

I think they were never sold, but given away when you bought a gas-chromatograph. It's my grailSAK, but probably never gonna happen
I think my chances for getting a Giant are better

 :tu:  Ezactly.

Sometimes our own mods are just better. I had the same change of heart over those and Troubleshooters. And I did get one of those made for a different company/advertiser. Similar era, IIRC mid late ‘90s.

Sign me up for the Cadet II. For the longest time I wanted a Scientist, but that was before I realized the can opener makes a dandy screwdriver.

Lately, it's an extant model in a non-extant configuration - an Explorer (plus scales) with gray magnifier and hook.
