Stropped edges are great for wood and leather work .Some cutting chores , where a more toothy edge is preferable , are better done with a non stropped edge . If you are using your strop for correctional pourposes , the compound doesn't matter !

Just stropped a couple of knives on an old wallet with Autosol on it and by by heck they are sharp :) (by my standards anyway ;))

Went to the local Leather Shop and bought a piece of leather remnant for 3 bucks :o made 2 strops with leather glued on both side of the boards when I get some stropping compound I am gonna put it on one side and leave the other side natural so I will have 2 different strop surfaces :tu:

Plus I still have plenty of leather left to make more :) :cheers:
