Thank you for letting me join.

I am in the UK and I am a long term multitool owner/user since original Leatherman PST (which I still have) and various more recent models from Leatherman (Charge TTi, Rebar EDC , Crunch and Micra),  Victorinox (Swiss tool and Swiss tool X) and Wenger Giant (hopelessly impractical and more of a collectors piece than a practical tool!).

Welcome aboard! Is that your Land Rover in your avatar? (I like Land Rovers, but they're not exactly common in the States.)

Yes, my old LandRover.  It is 29 years old and I've owned it for 26 years now.

Welcome.  Sweet Land Rover.  I'd imagine the Wenger Giant is a fun one to show off.

I have had the defender much longer than the giant.  My father had a LandRover from when I was a very small boy, and we have had at least one (slight variations in models etc.) in the family for almost the rest of my life so far (I'm 65).   There was a short (but expensive) period where a G wagon took LandRovers place.

I was lucky to get the giant from a friend who had a business selling Victorinox (and Wenger) products.  It was one of those things that as someone who likes collecting eccentric quality things, was an 'itch I had to scratch' and he got me one at a very helpful price.  It is completely useless, but does have a certain mad appeal.
