Is four enough....
on: January 31, 2009, 01:25:16 PM
...to be called a collection?  I suspect that most of you will say; NO!  ;)  As a chap who doesn't carry a multitool day to day anymore ( why am I here again  ) these four are still quite pleasing.  I'm afraid to say that I'm still going to be buying SAKs in the future though.   :D

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Good selection of LM's there mate.  :)

But why don't you EDC them?  Do you just find a SAK to be enough?
I'm back!!

I don't need any more.  Well, maybe a Mini but that's IT.    :D

As to why I don't carry one it's just as you say, I really don't find I need one day to day.  One of them tends to live in the glove compartment in my car though, just in case.

Not much you can't accomplish with that group there Gareth. Fine bunch of tools really. But certainly you will need at least one more.......

(I know I always do) ;)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I can't think of the last time I was without  a SAK of some kind but I have been caught without the right tool.

"Hello Gareth, can I borrow your scissors?"

"Errrrrrm........no :-[ "

You get the idea.  :)

4  Not for me but I also carry a lot of stuff (seems like the longer I stay here the more stuff I lug around :ahhh  :D )

By the way at least the 4 you do have are some great MTs ;) :D

Well, I have 4 MTs as well, and my wife certainly considers that over indulgent.  ;)

But I have to say that it is not a proper collection without at least 1 Vic MT! Especially since you are such a SAK enthusiast...  :twak: :D :D

I think having the SuperTool more than makes up for that ::) ;) :D :D :D

Hell yes - 4 is a collection!

On the basis, that you can only use one at a time, two at a push, then 4 is definitely collecting :D

4 good choices too if you don't mind me saying so  :salute:

When (not if) you are choosing your next one, think about a Wave or Charge, as you don't have an example of a OH blade there yet.

I used to come here a lot.

The problem with those is I'm a south paw and the OHO on those is decidedly not.

Ah. Yes that would screw you up a bit, although I would have thought that even if you can't OH them, the externally accessed blades / tools might still be worthwhile? I suppose less so.

I've only got four...

Since you can only carry maybe 3 multis at a time before you start looking a bit batsmurf insane, four is probably technically enough - but I'm all for trading the four you've got for four you ain't!

(especially supertools....they really should be traded....)

Yup you collect. Consider yourself lucky though.. I have only 22 dif lm and my back is killing me from carrying them. You got to remember that they are users, and you have to carry all the ones you got!
