It will be my very great honor to mail the box on to NutSAK after I look it over.  Thank you, my friend, for bailing me out.  I was beginning to think I was going to have to store this thing.  Shouldn't take long.  Might not have any CUTE purple knives this time, but who knows....?

I spent about an hour sorting through the box I received from Aloha.  So much goodness it is hard to decide.  There are some rare pieces in there and I had to decide if I wanted to start a new direction in my collecting or pass them on to someone who might already have more of an appreciation for such things.  I have a few top picks sitting on my desk that I'm deciding on and everything else including what I added has already gone back into the box.  I'll finalize my choices and seal the box.  It should go to the post office tomorrow afternoon.  I'll post a picture of my selections as soon as the box is on its way to Farmer X.

Whoever wants to get the box after NutSAK needs to add their name to the list. You don't have to have 10,000 posts, you just have to be a member and be willing to send the box on to the next person on the list.

It went coast to coast this last trip.  Its a fun box and well worth the cost to ship to the next person.  I loaded it up myself and I suspect it will continue to be loaded up tho not necessary.

Come on now dont be shy, add your name to the list.  Get back on the list for a second go at the box.  There were many things that were not in the box the first time I got it.

The box is on its way to Dan.  I kept a Vic Explorer, Gerber Armbar (cork), Richartz picnic / hobo knife, a set of Vic 91mm white scales, an ink pen with spare cartridges and a fountain adapter, a small Leatherman sheath, a Smith's sharpening stone and a Zippo wick which I think I put in the box myself last time around, but now I need it.
Not in the photo is a water bottle carrier with a pocket which my mom thought would be perfect for her day trips with her friends (they go to museums and gardens and such) when she doesn't want to carry her whole purse when all she really needs is a water bottle, her phone and her wallet. So, Mom said to thank whoever put that in there, and I thank whoever put in the rest.
As I mentioned before, I had to put everything in a large, flat rate box to accommodate the additional items that I included because I owed them to Dan from a trade we did last month, but the surprise box contents themselves do fit in a medium box.

Dan, give yourself plenty of time.  I think I spent an hour going through everything.  It's all so well wrapped that I think the box could have floated across the ocean and the contents would have stayed dry.  Everything is in bubble wrap or sandwich bags, and it seems, neatly organized by someone with OCD.

I hadn’t checked this thread in a while and am so happy that it hasn’t stalled.

It is great to see people finding items that they want and even sharing with family.  It is always great to see unused items get new life.

Clockwise from top left, we see: a KeySmart Alltul (I think it's a T-Rex), a Craftsman pocket screwdriver, a Griffin Pocket Tool, a CRKT Civet, and a Camillus 41. The Civet's sheath will need a little work before it'll be ready to carry, but I look forward to trying it out. And I'll soon be requesting the OPT Collector badge.

Best of awl, the box has been re-packed and will be going to Gary tomorrow! I know, it was a fast turnaround, but I have to go to the Post Office tomorrow anyway, and I have to consolidate trips as much as possible.

Nice choices. The CRKT was in the box when I got it and I thought you would appreciate it.  I hope you repacked everything into a medium box so you can save on the shipping.

Friend Farmer X straightened out the tracking problem.  All is back on track.  Once it hits Eastern Tennessee they have to put it on a mule, so Poncho tells me.  Now I will just have to be on mule watch.  Best wishes.  Gary  :D

Glad I caught my little goof and straightened things out. And I guess that mule had a rocket strapped on its back, because the package moved out of Tennessee pretty fast!

I always heard they had some high-speed mules in Tennessee.  Maybe I will be able to go to the post office Friday morning and catch the package there.
There is a tiny settlement called Dillsboro about 20 miles across the mountain from where I live.  An ancestor of mine was the first mayor there.  The Dills family descendants live here.  I also know the family of the man who delivered mail to Dillsboro from the town where I live.
I suppose the few families who lived in Dillsboro 130 years ago were pretty self-sufficient.  But you couldn't grow everything.  Coffee, salt, some other staples had to be freighted in.  And the mail.  Thomas did all that from here in a wagon pulled by two mules.  No paved roads and a steep trip over the mountain.  After delivering the goods and mail, Thomas would start on his long and weary trip home.  He said he would go to sleep on the way back and would wake up when the mules stopped at his house.  The mules knew the way.  Thomas' great-grandson stops by to see me whenever he is in town.  Mail by mule.  True story.
That is my tedious story for today.  Maybe I can tell of my adventure with Sherry's mystery box tomorrow.  Or at least make something up.  Best wishes.  Gary
