Outlery Cutlery
on: December 19, 2022, 11:49:16 AM
After doing a search I'm surprised there isn't a thread for Outlery Cutlery on here.  Another member on here put me onto them a few years ago and mine have been great.

They are a stainless steel cutlery set that breaks down into sections into a very small form factor tin that is 3.2 x 2.5 inches.  I have 2 sets at the mo a standard silver stainless steel set (mums) and a blue set (mine), with a 3rd on the way so I can have one at work.  I've used my blue one a lot on holiday on the beach and also great for throwing in your pocket or bag when going out.

I've got the silicon covers, spork heads and straws in all my sets to.

I know one other member has them, but has anyone else got them or use an equivalent? There a lot of similar ones on the market now.

Its nice to turn down the single use plastic cutlery in this age of trying to reduce the pollution plastic has become.  It may only be one small thing towards it, but it gives me a little self satisfaction.

Those do look pretty nice. I'd be torn between them and the Opinel picnic set.

And I haven't used plastic "cutlery" in years...

Been interested in them for a while, when I left the house I used to use some cheap camping cutlery from the Spar for my lunch in work, these would have been much nicer  :tu:

Seen these before - I love the idea and they're very ssmurfy in an EDC sense.... But they're almost £50!!
There are plenty of cheaper options already, from bioplastics to bamboo, inluding those that cater specifically for my kids. I also hate the tubular handles, preferring flat ones myself.
However, while Sporks and FREDs are fun, I've carried a standard set of metal cutlery (with an elastic band wrapped around, to silence them) for many years, both in the field and just in my normal civvy backpacks. They're compact enough and far less fiddly, although the best spoon on the planet is still the WW2 issue US Army one!

I've taken to using a Titanium Foon.

Glad to hear.  It looks like a nice set.  Cant beat Opinel knife for a picnic so the additional implements seem like a big win.
