I lost a Charge today!!!!

Today, I carried a Charge XTi.. I used it a few times, and when I got home it wasn't in it's nylon sheath!!! I searched EVERYWHERE, and I still can't find it.. I am going nuts looking for it!!!

Thats really bad luck. I carry a charge on my duty belt and its been through domestics, pub fights and 3 riots....never even come close to losing it.

I am usually good with putting stuff back where it belongs.. I last used it to open a clam-shell package in my truck.. I looked everywhere in my truck...in every possible spot! I even re-traced my steps and I still didn't find it... The only thing I can think of is when I got out of my truck to get gas it fell out of the sheath.. (yes, I even went back to the gas station) I never carry a MT horizontally; but I did today.. I was thinking about how much more comfortable it is, and look what happened.. I am beside myself ATM! Oh, and I also lost my awl bit that a forum member made me..

Today sucked!

That's really too bad, I feel for you my friend, I hope it turns up.

Today at home I noticed my snap on my blast sheath came undone and I didn't even know it. Luckily it's a vertical carry and stayed put.
Reminder to myself not to carry tools or knives horizontally in sheath anymore.

..did you look between the seat and back coushin of the truck? Sometimes things get stuck in there and don't fall through to the floor..same with the space between the seat and the center console.

You know... this is actually a great opportunity to discuss methods to prevent LM123 and others from losing anymore tools.

I am sure there must be some practical ways to reduce the chances of losing an MT, but I just can't think of any right now...
