I like the Military, Harley.  It's a good, solid knife that I wish I had when I was in.  Those were in my more knife naive days when I had only a Huntsman

That micarta Looks sweet. Do you get a lot of use out of a folder that big? How does it fit in? My biggest blade is a mora and it takes a beating, but between it and my SAKs I haven’t really craved having a bigger folding knife.

Huntsman would be a great knife for a Soldier.

The knife I carried the most while in the Army was a metal handle Endura. That thing took some serious abuse and I still have it.

It is a big knife but very light for its size.

The blade is pretty thin and easy to get stupid level sharp.

Very much looking forward to the Military 2 not so much because the liner lock is bad but change is fun.

Here is a picture of it from my Army days while over in Afghanistan 2014. Obviously before it got the Micarta love.

Bah wrong knife. Here is the Cruwear out training at Ft. Hood.

Enduras are great knives.  I still have my FRN handle Endura.

So still rocking the XLT. Really makes the SC seem like a small easy to carry SAK.

Today I got my latest SAK in the mail. Thanks to a generous member of MTO who added a backside Phillips to a Compact for me I present the Compact Tinker. I know very creative right?

Thanks again for your help proletenstahl.

Didn’t bother to put scales on it per my request. Have some Micarta lined up for this project.

Yeah the XLT looks  enormous. The SC is quite pocketable, today I carried it in the watch pocket of my shorts with no trouble.

That compact tinker is great! I like the backside phillips teamed up with the combo tool. Post up when you get the scales on.

That is a great idea Harley!  It takes care of the only shortcoming I can think of with the Compact.

Nice!

Day 49

I cannot believe it has been 49 days of Champ! Today I was on the road and used the file and scissors on a couple of damaged finger nails.

They really do grow on you don't they?  For the tool set, the only thing better is a rollaway tool box!

Day 50 of 60!

Same here just up making my coffee.

Decided to “downsize” from the XLT to the SC.

Put the scales on my Compact Tinker last night so added that to today’s picture.

:o That is a classy set of scales. I have the compact tinker setup on an 84mm mod and I like that setup, seeing yours makes me want to make a 91mm version so I get the hook and the Vic scissors.

Day 50

Early start for the SC opening pedialite for my youngest. He was up all night with a stomach bug.

Forgot to add that the scale guy can do them with slots for tweezers and the like if you want.

I just didn’t get em on this one for the streamlined look and because I always have my Nailclip T&T.

Day 52 of 60!

So as you may know the Tween Challenge is coming up and I plan to Ironman style it with just a Tinker Small all month.

Why not do it in style though? New Micarta scales and some matching T&T seem appropriate.

Used my SC to help with the swap.

Mission complete.

Not in anyway affiliated with the scale maker. Just makes good stuff.
