Thrift Store Find
on: January 02, 2024, 09:46:18 PM
I was out with the parental units and I stopped by the small second hand shop. Back in the tool section was a box of knives. I asked about it and was told it was just a box full of random knives. I asked how much, they said take it all for $50. You read that right, here is my $50 thrift store haul. I would like your help. The knife is Leatherman, there is a Squirt P4. Is the little red one a mini champ? It has a red led flashlight in it. What all do I have here? All of the SAKs are Victorinox. Thanks for the help.

Since it has the flashlight, that MiniChamp is actually a Midnight MiniChamp.

The yellow one looks like a Classic:

The ALOX is a Cadet:

The middle blue one is a Spartan:

And the top blue one is a Deluxe Tinker:

That's a great haul for $50!  If you want to make some (most!) of your money back on that last one, let me know!  :D

Darn nice find.   Thrift stores around here seldom seem to have any good knives.

Very rare they sell them at the ones here.  I did buy a small bag of them one time but that was very rare.

That's it I am moving country.....I never get deals like that, in fact your $50 does not even cover two meals in a run down pub in the UK

I am fascinated by the UK. As an American I find the culture interesting. Celebrate the differences and learn about other cultures, it is fun. I am a sucker for a Yorkshire dialect.

I got a bit of a score today- nowhere near as good as yours, but I'm not complaining!

That Leatherman knife is just sick. I’ve been hunting for one in decent shape and price and of course eBay doesn’t help.

That Squirt and SAKs will serve you well as it did to me. Clean them up and you are good to go.

England has some nice areas, the lake district and Devon are recommended.

I think that I am more European in the fact that I don't roll over and let things happen that will have a negative impact.... basically I kick backside :-)

Yorkshire is lovely, and I have a number of friends up there, but there is a polar opposite between where I am (near London) and the wilds of Yorkshire (which is no where near to the wilds of the America, Canada or anywhere else)

Is the PST blade the same length as the file?  It looks short in the photo.

I am pretty sure it is just the angle of the pic :salute: they are normally the same length :D :tu:
