Got a dartboard in the basement, but haven't used it much (besides the cheap darts it came with don't' fly straight, and just plain suck). Keep wanting to buy some of the darts Buck made/marketed many years ago, but figure I'll spring for something more common. Local business that sells things like jukeboxes and pool tables also carries dartboards and supplies, so I think I'll check and see waht they have. What works well, but doesn't break the bank?
Congrats! Took ages for my first, not too long for the second and a day later for the third and fourth.Once the mind believes it can happen it just comes down to staying relaxed for that last dart. For the odd game I don't mind throwing whatever darts. If it's against the boys however I'll warm up properly and throw the thinner tungsten sets.
I played in a league. Got tired of the politics. Play online now and again. Love darts. I will easily spend 30 minutes a night going through various practise routines.Have managed a couple of 180's, a Big Fish of 170 and 3 bulls. Highest out in a league game was 160.
Was playing around with some of my older, cheap ass, brass barrel darts. In doing so I managed to throw my second ever 180. I'll take it but it does make me wonder why I spent money on better darts. (consistency BTW, that's why you buy better darts).
I don't obsess with keeping stats but it's nice to know if you're getting better or not. It's not going to give any serious playing any concern but, for my standard, I'm very happy with an 18 dart leg. I have indeed managed a few more 180s in practice but still not consistent enough for what I'm aiming for. I am also challenging myself not to keep swapping darts every day and am using these Optimum 26g for the moment.

They show darts sometimes on TV here (at least here in the States)..
