Cool complimentary murdered out form factors Microbe. Any chance of seeing what's inside the handle?Looks Lionsteel-ish to me.
Indeed an Italy product, a CF Nano Magnacut. I removed the flipper tab. It's now fingerflicking good.

Those Italians know how to make a very nice knife (Ha!). It's a stout looking folder,Non tengo ningiun cuchillo con CPM (et al whatever the new proprietorship is post bankruptcy) Magnacut. Have you noticed any standout qualities of the blade steel worth noting from your use? Larin Thomas (inventor of Manacut) is a competent and cool knife loving metallurgist. He's written some excellent books/papers on the subject and also has a very informative and entertaining YouTube channel. He's Dad is also a cool dude. Devon Thomas has been making knife steel Damascus for many years and his artisan fruits are sometimes found in CRK Sebenza and Mnandi knives. Sorry for the rabid hole folks.
If any knife maker would make it so that tape gunk no longer sticks to a blade, please take my money.
Could a knife blade be Teflon-coated? Until then, I just wipe off the tape residue with 91% isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel or facial tissue.

Nice minimalist set up today!
...If I would have one request related to knife steel, in particular to opening parcels, if any knife maker would make it so that tape gunk no longer sticks to a blade, please take my money...
I wonder what would you people say if I post my EDC without pictures?
I would say that the thread title implies a pic should be posted, with verbal description optional. That aside, it seems like a pretty thoughtful setup overall. You’ve chosen a couple of extremely capable SAKs in the Manager and Cybertool M.I see you have pocket tissues, but would suggest a bandanna instead of or in addition to those. It is far more versatile, weighs almost nothing, costs almost nothing, and takes up very little room in a pocket or backpack.I prefer a couple of Wet Ones Singles over liquid sanitizer. They sanitize just as well, but there’s less of an issue with leaks/spills, and the wipes do a better job if there is dirt/grease/whatever that actually needs to be cleaned off.I don’t generally carry a backpack except hiking/camping. I do challenge myself to think about how I would get home/back to civilization if I somehow lost or became separated from my pack, which results in careful consideration of what must be carried in pockets vs. what can be carried in pack.
Thank you! Very appreciated
Here’s mine:(Image removed from quote.)This, plus a credit card, is what’s in the pouch:(Image removed from quote.)I carry this in my jeans pocket all the time. The key and credit card are there so if I dash out of the house in a hurry, and don’t have time or inclination to grab the bag that has my proper wallet and other gear, I have the very basics: I can pay for stuff, I can get back in the house.
Looks like a solid little kit! Seems like maybe a lot of redundancy between the two Alox SAKs?
Thanks! There isn’t the redundancy you might think with the SAKs, because the 93mm on the left is the new one that just has scissors, and the 84mm is the Cadet with main blade, opener layer and nail file. It’s a fair question why I’d carry these two instead of just a Pioneer X, which has previously been an EDC of mine. That covers the same tools but with an awl instead of the file and bigger blade and openers. I also don’t really need the file, as there is one in the Swiss Card. The reason is: thickness. The Companion X Alox (scissors SAK) is 10mm thick and the Cadet is 8mm, where the Pioneer X is 15mm. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but to me the Pioneer X makes the pouch too thick - I want it to drop into my jeans pocket not have to be stuffed in, and not make too big of a lump when it’s in there. Also, splitting the SAKs across the front of the pouch makes it feel balanced, flat and tight in the hand, which is nice. Weight wise the difference is marginal - the dual SAKs total 90g against the Pioneer X at 94g.Another option would be to swap out the two alox SAKs and the SwissCard for a Climber. But the Climber is 18mm thick, so that rules it out even with saving the 4mm thickness of the card. Plus I’d lose the small scissors from the card, which I like for nail care (the big ones aren’t great for cutting nails I find) and the files. Though that problem could be solved by adding an Alox Classic SD, the 58mm scissors being the very best for cutting nails. I also like having the card in the back section of the pouch as it gives it a feeling of rigidity and structure that I find pleasing.Yeah, I do spend too much time thinking about stuff like this.
