I can jump in on this one!  Not one I carry much. But I’m hauling my camper about 2 hours north, for my mother in law to use for the week. This will accompany me today!

Another see-through.  This one shows how my yard looks now.  It has opened up in big cracks from the drought.  Some of them look deep.  I thought about putting my ear to the ground and listening to see if there is anyone down there.  Just listen, understand.  I don't want to start a conversation with something living, or maybe not living, down in whatever possible nether abode lies underneath.  Look on the bright side, think of how much lawn mower gas I saved this summer.  Right?
   Best wishes.  G

I've got the Silvertech Fieldmaster along today. We had family over to grill some burgers and hotdogs to break in the new patio. Used the Fieldmaster to saw off a few low dead branches on an Oak tree and cut some marshmallow sticks for the kids. I've got a nice afternoon cup of coffee going before I start back in on the unpacking again.

Nice photo, Montana.  Sounds like good times being able to have folks over for a backyard cookout.  Do you still do the duck hide and seek game at your new school?  Best wishes.  Gary

Yep, I'm still hiding ducks in my new school. I saw one sitting on a teacher's desk when I went in to talk to her about a student 😁. I love seeing who finds them!

Really digging these blue scales on the Highlander.  I wish the Wenger cross wasn't just printed on.

Looks really nice. My blue Champion came to me used and somewhat scuffed up. I’ve been thinking about putting on some new translucent blue Plus scales. Yours look great!

I found my knife box today but will have to fiddle with it. Everything shifted during transport and the top two drawers wont open. Of course those drawers are the ones with my most used knives...😡

Thank you Sir!

Thanks!  Most all of my builds I list for sale on my Etsy Shop

For MTO members not going through Etsy, I would offer discounts, since there wouldn't be Etsy fees, but you can see what I have available in my shop.

Oh, awesome! I've followed your shop for a long time and looked at your stuff many times! I just didn't make the connection. I'll come running when I've got the funds for a custom!

I’m a couple of hours early for this, but I thought I’d add this photo of the champ reigning over the defeated pile of a week’s worth of mail I was neglecting.

:like: Would love some further details on it. Is it a Mark I or Mark II? Did it get a scale swap? And if yes, does it now have a toothpick where once was a pen?

It’s factory-spec, but a model that’s not on SAKWiki. It’s a standard MiniChamp II with sapphire scales, color-matched blue tweezers and the integrated pen. I’m not sure what the actual model code is because the box just has 0.6385 on the label with no suffix. I have a Midnite MiniChamp that’s not on SAKWiki either, with the silvertech transparent scales.

Edit: It bugged me that I couldn’t find details on the silvertech MiniChamp so I went back and dug through my email to find where I purchased it, since I got it from an ebay vendor. It’s not a factory model, it’s a MiniChamp with the scales from a silvertech Signature Lite; I just didn’t read the listing carefully enough.

The sapphire one is definitely a factory model, though: I got that one new in box, factory-sealed. SmartKnives.com also lists the MiniChamp II as having been produced in both ruby and sapphire scale variants in addition to classic red.

It's always fun to see turkeys! They were everywhere where we moved from but none where we are now. We did have 14 whitetail deer in the.yard eating apples a few days ago though. Worked on cleaning up the jungle of a garden all afternoon yesterday. We are settling in well. Feels like home already
