Gearhead in Florida
on: September 03, 2024, 05:09:06 PM
Hello from sunny Florida.

Big tool collector here... multitools, Swiss army knives, etc..

I was a mechanic in the US Airforce and my grandpa was a welder/boilermaker and so I inherited his stuff so needless to say I have a lot of tools.

Just found this forum when looking for some info on the steel used in Gerber multitools so I figured I join up.

Also run a small youtube channel called "Modern Tool and Gear" if anyone is interested.

Looking forward to some discussion.

Hi there, I was in the vehicle maintenance squadron. 2T352B = Special Vehicle maintenance.

I worked on the Oshkosh R-11 6000 gallon aircraft refueling truck as well as several other pieces of equipment Also worked on some firetrucks, Humvees, cranes, and was taught to weld from an old grumpy GS-11.

Awesome! I worked on aircraft (mostly Marine Corps) when I was in the Navy, and if all goes well, I'll be a land vehicle mechanic before too long.
