I must learn to clean out my email folder!

It took me quite a lot of time to clear our my email folder from the almost 9000 messages I had in there to a core of must have ones. Note to self, clear it out on a daily basis from this point onwards. I had emails that dated up to 5 years ago!

I just did this recently on my personal email and had similar numbers.

My work email is hard to keep under 100 important topics requiring follow up

My work one is a mess also, but I am hesitant to delete anything because many of the older post are still relevant, and the search function means I can pull them up when needed. No, I wait for IT to tell me to start making room. Guess that bad habit followed me home...or is it the other way?

I delete almost nothing on my work email, usually shift to the online archive if it's not on current year topics.

A good cleanup might be needed but generally I only remove notification type messages and spam.

My primary Gmail account forwards a copy of every incoming email to my secondary Gmail account.  I keep the first account completely cleaned out, and hoard everything in the second one in case I have to search for something some day.
