Casio FX-260 find
on: May 11, 2025, 03:21:14 AM
I went to a thrift store looking for a belt I could repurpose into a strop. That was a non-starter. But I did find a Casio FX-260 still in the pack. A scientific calculator can be pretty useful, so I took it home. For only $4 (with a veterans' discount), I'm pretty happy.

Very cool find!

We had a member here a while back by the name of Detron that had a pretty epic collection of similar calculators, and an awesome thread dedicated to them.

You may want to have a gander at this thread for all kinds of cool calculator porn!  :D

Thanks for steering me toward that thread! I probably won't take a headlong fall into that rabbit hole, but they're pretty cool nevertheless.

Agreed!  Detron had a lot of cool calculators and I believe he also collected Encyclopedia sets.

He was a great guy and I really miss him!

The Calculator Rabbit Hole is definitely there. I was eyeballing graphing calculators at Meijer today. Good thing I lack the need for and the money to purchase one.
