I just saw Alox MiniChamp for $$41.95 on Amazon with free shipping in the U.S. and it's impossible to pass this up at this price and considering SAK's are going to jump up in price about at least 20% within the year.     :gimme:

Did you mean Alox MiniChamp? I havent never seen regular SwissChamp on Alox scales maybe seen on of custom made.

Cool! The MiniChamp is an awesome knife.
I would even say underrated EDC.
I have a Midnite MiniChamp but I would jump at an Alox one now if it was in my country and a good price.

when did the Alox MiniChamp become a regular production knife ? I seem to remember it for around 10 years as regular production but wondering when it became regular production ? Would rather have an Alox Vagabond or Alox Rambler but they aren't in regular production and so I make do with the MiniChamp at a good price.

According to SAKwiki, the swissbianco alox minichamps started in 2011.

The regular production became available in very early 2014.

That's only $6 less than normal, and the relevant parties are currently negotiating on certain things so there may very well be no price increase.

But that aside, any reason to buy a new Victorinox is prolly a good one.   :cheers:

It came today.    :woohoo:    It replaced my Manager that is the same thickness and didn't need the scale tools because my SwissCard Lite in my wallet already has them. If they release a regular production Alox Rambler I will replace this MiniChamp. BTW. I thought I remembered the Alox MiniChamp regular production about 10 years ago and I was correct. Thanks for the information about it . It's beyond time for Victorinox to issue regular production Alox Rambler's.

The MiniChamp is fantastic. Though my Cellidor MKII works well, that price is rather tempting.

It’s nearly 30% heavier though, and for me the weight is more of an issue than the bulk for most EDC items.  You wouldn’t think that 0.3 ounces would make a difference, but it feels like it does on a key chain…
