Hi from British Columbia, Canada

Hi,
I’m another SAK collector that’s recently found this forum and I’m finding it’s a really great resource. Lots of knowledge here.
My first Multitool was a SAK my dad got me in the mid 70s. I’ve come to realize it’s a model called a Lumberjack but it has the less common bottle opener and not the multi tool. No in in scale tools so it probably an economy model.
I stumbled onto a 100th Anniversary Spartan unused and with the case, paper sleeve, etc. Just like every other one I’ve seen online basically. But the point is that knife sent me down the rabbit hole discovering the SAK collector world.
I’ve got more SAK knives than I ever thought I would. I stuck with all red knives and my wife only thought I had one for the longest time. She know’s I’ve got more than but doesn’t know how many.
I focus on knives I’d want to carry and use but I’ve recently been collecting larger more common used knives just to harvest parts to make custom EDC knives.
Now I have to find the forum FAQ so I can learn how to post pictures correctly.
Cheers,

Welcome Roadie - Looks like you found out how to post pictures
- The problem most people experience is that there is a size limit on the file size
This forum is the best - And pretty much anything you want to know about SAKs is here - Or you can find it out here!!
I was lucky enough to pick up the 100th anniversary SwissChamp recently - But I have not seen it yet as it is w my Mum in the UK!!
And nice to see the Companion there - Guess that did not get past the wife !!
And most of us here wish that Vic would just put out a regular version of that model

Thank you!
Yes, that may have actually caused my wife to say “Hey, wait a minute…” 😆
You know the Compact has quickly become one of my absolute favourites. The package opener and the small file are great additions to my EDC.
I do actually like these scales now too. They don’t show fine scratches like the red or black scales so that’s a nice bonus. Not that I worry about that kind of stuff..
I picked up some white scales and some yellow scales thinking they might be the same. They’ll find their way onto a custom soon I think.
Nice score with the 100th Anniversary Swiss Champ. Do you collect the special issue knives or just when one appears?

Welcome to the forum from the opposite coast!
I'm in Halifax, and I would love to hear more about your mod ideas!
I don't know if there is a better place on the planet to discuss modding SAKs than right here- all of the great pioneers of SAK modding either started with us or are members here helping others get started!
