Yesterday was a bit of SAR kit maintenance.

The RT is the main carry but I thought I'd add the Antonini  as well  :dunno:

I still keep mine in the car, not technically legal in the UK due to the locking blade, but I'm sure a blind eye would be turned if it was used in a rescue, or offered to effect a rescue.

Plus the multitool in I keep in my car boot kit is just as bad for locking blades

Those yellow scales are beautiful 😍.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I bought Rescue Tool in 2018 primarily to, eventually, rescue myself and a girlfriend that drives like crazy. We almost crashed making a 360° turn at about 60 miles per hour on a two way highway, in our first trip in her car.

After this incident, I always carry it in any trip I make on highways. With or without her.

I am glad that I have never needed to use it, for ourselves or for others. Thanks God!

The amount of accidents in brazilian roads are, unfortunately, huge, sadly...

I still travel with her and, since then, I use that eye protectors (used for sleeping) while she drives. :-\ It is part of my travel carry gear, as ear protectors and so on.

No insult towards you, Ricardo, however I have driven Brasilian roads on a number of occasions over a number of years.  The amount of accidents on Brasilian roads, in my personal experience, is a factor of the drivers themselves just as much as the roads.  I was once in an Bombiero ambulance when the driver passed a truck on the right while going around a turn, over a hill.

...Kind of what caused me to be in the ambulance in the first place. Wasn't sure we'd make it to safety to get patched up.

Ive seen more, and worse crashes on sunny, dry roads in southern Brasil (old Br-101) than there were on icy, twisty, turning New England back roads in wet, cold weather.  Honestly it's a mindset of "getting one over on the other guy" down there.

I wish you well with your girlfriend's driving.

I usually keep a Byrd (Spyderco China) Cara Cara Rescue 2 in the center console.  Clipped to the bottom of the console cover and with a gold and brown workboot lace lanyard.  Just grab it and pull, from either seat.  Dang things are serrated, sheepsfoot, sharp.  They do not have a glass breaker, unfortunately.  I have a 25 year old smaller Spyderco Rescue, that does not have a glass breaker either.

Spyderco did come out with one that had a glass beaker and nice finger grooves but if I recall correctly it was very expensive.

Does anyone happen to already know...will a 93mm Alox be strong enough to break side window automotive glass?

I mean Alox is known for toughness durability but not designed for breaking automotive side windows. you need another tool with necessary hardness and pointed design to effectively shatter tempered glass. even the alumina oxide ceramic part of a spark plug can effectively shatter automotive side windows when thrown with force. I have seen videos Using a wet cotton scarf dipped in spark plug ceramic powder as a whip to break tempered glass so you would need right tools, so maybe Alox's  Reamer would work
