New toy for ol' Grumpy.
on: June 03, 2025, 11:23:33 PM
The Boss Lady asked me the other day if I was interested in one of those battery powered chainsaws.
I said sure, it would come in handy to help cut down some of the overgrown stuff that we have on the property.

Well, it came in today and I've got to say I'm kinda impressed with what's there.

I'll need to get a small oil bottle to carry along to keep it oiled up but that shouldn't be a problem around our house.

Looks like I'll be going after the chainsaw badge next.

Whoa! Two batteries & an extra volt! One more than DeWalt.  Would be cool to see how big of branches & what species of wood it can cut; dead, alive, dry or wet.
Looks potentially very handy.

:iagree: Those smaller chainsaws can work well if you're not trying to fell the whole tree.

Wouldn't you know it, but it's raining here and I'm stranded on the front porch, so no cutting today.

One big gripe I have with it so far is the lack of an oil reservoir, the one thing the Chinese forgot to include.
I found a small bottle that I had bought that had contained some Fireball whiskey and I'll just keep it in with the saw.  ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Does it do a good job on toenails?   :dunno:
