Well I thought about popping in a bid but it wouldn't be high.  I'll leave this one for you Mat :)

I really just want to find an old abused one to steel the wrench/spanner from.

Neil
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Probably, but it wouldn't be the same :)   I have no doubt I'll be able to get one eventually and I'm not in a hurry.

On a less radical note, no collection of far-out tools can be complete without one of these: 8)

I forgot about that one... but if we are counting the Recoil, shouldn't we also include the SwitchPlier?

Of course, spring loaded pliers may be illegal in certain areas, so check your local laws before purchasing either of these!

Bob/Def I already have the Switchplier (Dennis is a tops fella) looking forward to doing a video of the rare SOG & the Stanley SL40, have to wait for my birthday in a couple of weeks  .  I just need the XTI & Ti to get all the retired LM's + all the extras I have some how acquired  ::) in under a year of getting my first MT :o . If I start buying Al Mar MT's in my 2nd year I am in serious trouble (financial , relationship=health ,strife  ::) :D)

Definitely recommend the Recoil. Despite the natty opening mechanism, they are actually amongst the best Gerber pliers I've got! I am actually using it every now and then.

I used to come here a lot.

Yeah I suppose I did. I'm not a huge fan of the Gerbers that I've got, for the simple reason that the limitations that the sliding plier head create, mean that the the tools generally suffer for size and therefore usefulness.

The Recoil however does give you pliers that make it worthwhile, and although the tool selection is limited, they do seem to be decent, i.e. longer drivers, decent blade etc. It is a much better tool than the Flik or even the MP 600 IMO.

And as a bonus you get that wicked plier "launcher". :tu:

Are spring-launched pliers still legal in the UK? After all, you never know when someone might put an eye out with one. ::)
