Can the mini saw earn a merit badge?
on: June 21, 2025, 12:51:29 AM
After it cooled down some, this afternoon, I decided to take the new mini saw out and get rid of a small tree that was growing near one of the Boss Lady's bird feeders.  A squirrel had been climbing it and trying to jump over to the feeder.

Actually I'm quite pleased with the little saw.

Looks like a chain saw to me, Pit.  That is actually a pretty big cut that you made with that thing.  Best wishes.  G

 :iagree:

That's pretty impressive for it's size.

Went back out and ran kinda crazy on some other small trees.  Played with the saw cutting hear and there till I finally used up the first battery.  Plugged in the second and kept going longer.

I'm not sure how "Thesaw" is gonna last, with having to manually add oil, so I had the Boss Lady order me another mini saw, from Walmart.

This one has an oil reservoir, like a regular saw, and came with 6 and 8 inch bars .  Batteries are interchangeable so I'm ready for whatever.

No oil reservoir on TheSaw?  That's no bueno.

I'm curious how yours will hold up as that's a pretty convenient size for small jobs around the house.

So far, I'm impressed.  Took it out the other day and cut down some small pine trees that were growing up in my crepe myrtles.  Kept the small oil bottle handy and kept the chain lubed.
We'll see about the longevity.
