Real life Swiss Champ to Modeler mod

Could not wait.

Had a modern Swiss Champ in good shape -  that meant nothing to me (got in a job lot).

Stripped it



Marked out the middle of rivets



Drilled them




Took away the redundant parts...




A modern Modeler created





Picked the small screwdriver over the chisel




What I really want is to build one of an old Champion. The old magnifyer, groved cork screw, no parcel hook, deleting the lanyard ring parts, etc. I will be back...

Hi Myron,
For this task I used a HSS drillbit. The metal (in the rivets) is sort of soft and HSS is working great.
