Rebar and Curl plier heads?
on: October 14, 2025, 03:46:48 AM
Good evening to all,

Does anyone know if the Rebar plier head will fit the Curl pliers?

Be nice if they were interchangeable. I have a Rebar and considered getting a Curl to swap the plier heads. I like the wire cutters on my rebar and like the Curl toolset and slim design and pocket clip.

If it can be done, I’ll definitely get a Curl.

Thank you.

Yep, they sure are.  I did that to my Curl.

Sweet. I noticed the tools, minus the the blade and file are friction lock. How well  do the tools stay in place? Good solid and stable lockup?

The handle tools seem very stable to me.  I have bore down hard on only the bit driver, and it stayed in place perfectly.  No problems with any of the tools any time  :tu:

Here's a pic of it - Rebar plier head, Charge 154CM blade, Wingman scissors, and a small bit driver.

Wow. I really do like that.

Question though? What’s your take on using a saw blade in place of the large scissors? And keeping the small scissors? Examples if could, please. I’m asking alley your opinion and case use.

And how do you like the wingman scissors? Function good?

It really depends on what you need.  I rarely use the saw on my multitools, so I personally wouldn't do it; however, if you need a saw, one would fit there.

The Wingman scissors work pretty well.  They're not the best scissors in the multitool world, but they suit my needs perfectly.   :tu:

Well hey, thank you for your time and the info. I’m waiting on my Arc to come back from warranty. I sent it out yesterday. So I’ll see how it performs when I get it back. The wire cutters ended up fouling out against each other when closing the pliers. The plier head got a really bad wobble because of the pivot I’m guessing.

If the Arc fails again, I’m going to give this route a go.

I like the idea of a slimmer tool. The arc is good for pocket carry, but slimmer is always nice, especially having carried Spyderco and benchmades for a couple decades .

Did you need to modify the scissors and 2 t10 security bits is the correct size to disassemble?

Yes, but only a little.  It needed a little filing around the pivot so it would fit and lock in place.

I documented my Curl mods - I found the first 2 stages, but couldn't find the final stage where I put in the Wingman pliers.

Very nice. I gave it all a look and read through some of the thread. I dig it. Hopefully my Arc comes back repaired and i can use it longer than three days of owning it lol.

I still will likely do this mod to a curl though. It just makes sense.

Thank you for your time. It’s much appreciated.
