Thanks Gordon!  I've been carrying it on the Vic neck lanyard, and I have to say I like it.

Has it been cold in your neck of the woods? 31 outside hereabouts, as of this post.

It actually made it to 50 last night here.  It's more damp than anything else.  Today was in the 30s, which is a heat wave for 12/24!

It's in the high 30s here and feels warmer. No complaints from me!

Yes, it is. I was doing a little slipping and sliding on a walk yesterday.

You're doing quite well with the challenge, Barry! :salute:

Thanks buddy!  I wonder why I don't carry this knife more.  It's got all the benefits of a Classic, but big enough to make using it easier.

Day 26: Finally got a chance to use the orange peeler for its intended purpose.  Works as designed!

Wonderful use of your executive for December.
I, personally, don't like a classic due to the lack of a philliips driver.   Rambler is my minimum in the 58mm line.   Like I said before, I wish that Victorinox would have made a 74mm version of the MiniChamp.

I agree PitCarver.  If they had, it would have definitely been my EDC.
Thanks for following along.  It's been a very relaxing challenge.  I've decided to join some challenges next year, but take a break from hosting them.  I've been in challenges more than not in the almost 11 years I've been at MTO.

Doing a CHALLENGE SOLO, as you have accomplished this time is admirable!

You have my humble respect.

Great job!

Just as you did with the LM SIGNAL Challenge.

If this model was not retired, and not as costly as it is currently, I would definitely had added one to my stable to experience this size.

Again, great job, a few more days.
My  :hatsoff: to you!

Barry
You tortured me this past month with your EXECUTIVE, and I have been holding this question for almost that long.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Why the two completely different ORANGE PEELERS?

Any body please chime in…

I purchased the 58mm Manager in 1993 or so, and have carried it everyday , over 30 years.
* note - the box it was packaged in is labeled MANAGER, I have since learned that name was changed to VAGABOND, since a new model with Pen, was named Manager!

The Orange Peeler on my Vagabond has served me well and is ample to do the job intended.
The EXECUTIVE has a serrated, mean looking blade they call an orange peeler too!

Which came first?
Which is preferred?
Was this serrated blade ever named something else than a peeler?   It looks as if it could used by a doctor to cut skin samples or remove warts or moles…

The knife pictured is a custom built model with EXECUTIVE and incudes a INK PEN.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

The peeler blade on the MiniChamp is not actually a peeler.  What you're looking at is a cotton picker for pill bottles.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Day 30: A busy day tomorrow so I'm posting a little early.  I have always enjoyed carrying the Executive.  For me, it's an ideal companion to a pliers based my, and has the advantage of multiple blades and those lovely scissors.  Carrying it on a neck lanyard worked well for me because it was always within reach and not mixed in with my keys.  It will be an interesting couple of months, with the Classic Challenge immediately afterwards.  I hate to say it, but I am putting mine away, just because I'd hate to lose it with no replacement at a decent price.  It makes an ideal EDC.  The 74mm has so much potential, but not realized by Vic.

Thank you all for following along!

I am impressed !!!, another solo challenge with an awesome tool.

You should add LONEWOLF to your title!

Yes prices are very high on the previously own market.  Yet one in SAPPHIRE BLUE  has been making an appearance in my dreams, or was that a nightmare 🥺

It is cold here yet!

Wish you a great day and better one tomorrow my FRIEND.   Give my best to MRS R 🤗

What a way to end 2025! 🎉

My pleasure. I wish I could enjoy some of that chocolate, or better yet, Trader Joe's Märzipan!
