Thanks, Carl

I agree about the fenix, the original E01 was such a great light. Simple and bomb-proof.

I've still got two them after all this time, and they work great. Like you said, bomb proof. The E01 is like the old snubbie revolver; maybe dated in design and capability compared to the 'new stuff', but still very capable of getting the job done by being good enough.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Beautiful!!
Day 18

The only non users in my collection. In general, I use/carry all my SAKs but I got these some time ago for OK price and keep them for eventual further trade/resell so rather keeping them in NIB conditions. Even the box is in good shape.

Day 18

Looks like it's going to be in the 70's today temperature wise, so I am going to bring out the scooter.

I still had a few laying around, which have all now gone to the kids (the oldest 2 got a similar setup a few years ago to the one I just gave the twins).

Even though I strayed from the E01 for EDC, I stuck with Fenix. I’ve been carrying this LD01 (the last version they made of it) for going on 12 years. Not as bomb-proof as an E01, but it’s never given me any trouble.

E01 . . .  LD01

Those are great, and I have a few of them here and there.  The E01 v2 is still in production at around $15.

I open at least one Amazon package almost every day with my Classic.  Jeff Bezos has certainly earned his yachts, jets and spacecraft IMO.

Referring to the Buck 110 Slim Heritage, I said above that -

I did and I really want it.  But it is basically a "sprint run" limited to 1000 pieces, which are not currently available.  And I think its pretty spendy.

But if it were regular production and priced accordingly, I would definitely get one.

It looks now like it will be a regular production model (with thin profile, Magnacut and a pocket clip).  So I will definitely be getting one of these.  I see tham for pre-order on Knife Center, and prolly other places.

Classic Laser - I did not need to point at anything so far today, but you never know. And the blade cut a bell pepper with laser precision.  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
