Leatherman Wave Plus Project
on: January 16, 2026, 08:30:40 PM
I want to put some of the Leatherman rebar tool set into my Leatherman wave plus. I have the awl in already and it kinda fits. But also have the small screwdriver and the phillips from the rebar that I want to put in as well. It appear that I will have to remove the plier rest in order to do this. I don't think having the plier rest removed will mess up anything because the tools I will have in there will basically perform the job of the plier rest... I think lol.

1) How do you remove the plier rest?

2) Has anyone ever successfully done this?

I know everyone wants the bit drivers in the wave but I have had them for years and always miss the dedicated screwdrivers on my old rebar. Thank you for any help you can give.

So you didn’t need to remove the whole pice and re rivet anything? How did it close and did the function suffer at all?

I just snapped part of it so i didnt need to rivet piece. Only thing i noticed that pliers sometime caught under tools so that i needed to close otherside first. Otherwise it worked normally.
