Saw this on Countycomm.com today and it looks pretty good for the price.  I'm not up on my Fenix lights, but this looks really nice for pocket carry.  What is the output like?

I believe the purpose of the light was to have lower output (in keychain terms) for longer runtime. I like mine, it does have a little cooler tint that my Lighthound fauxton and I recall CPF posters reporting that purple and blue tints were common.

Also, FWIW I think fenix-store still has free shipping on their lights. The EO1 is only $15.

Little keychain light with efficient circuit, REGULATED runtime is around 9 hours on alkaline, and 15 hours on lithium, and many hours of moon mode after. 8ish lumen output.

Mind you it use a constant voltage driver instead of constant current like in bigger lights, so depends on the Vf of LED the runtime/output will vary by one or two hours, that's why you'll see different results from different tester.

This is a light for people who want the long runtimes that jzmtl listed. It is definitely not the brightest light for its size.

Personally, I find it bright enough for my dialy uses and like that it will run for an entire evening with no change in output. For the money, it is very hard to go wrong.

+1 on fenix-store as well.  :D

I have ordered a L1D with a L2D body....I exchange them for different tasks....camping = L2D, EDC = L1D

Saved some money....but I have to wait like another 2 weeks to get mine :(

They all do...it's a trait of the Nichia GS LED used in the E01s.

Personally I went for the more expensive but much better equipped L0D.  The upgraded version of mine is the LD01;  http://www.fenixtorch.co.uk/led_torches/fenix_ld01.html  (just an example, no connection to seller etc..)

Shop around and you might get a good price on these.  Well worth the extra bucks as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, the L0D is a nice light.  Amazing output for it's size.

I quite like my E01, although it is about to be retired in favour of the Leatherman S1 Serac, which is waaaay cooler. 8)
